Sharks' Evander Kane Sued By Vegas Casino Over $500K In Gambling Credits

Evander Kane

San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane is being sued a half-million dollars by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, for unpaid gambling markers, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

In fact, the two dropped the gloves during game three of their 2019 National Hockey League playoff series, just before Kane allegedly borrowed the gambling markers.

The lawsuit alleges Kane withdrew eight markers between $20,000 and $100,000 USA around April 15, or in between Games 3 and 4 of the opening-round playoff series in Las Vegas.

Kane, a Canadian citizen, has become public enemy No. 1 for the Golden Knights.

The NHL nor the Sharks have commented on the suit.

The date would mean Kane would have been there for Games 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs as the Sharks took on the Golden Knights. That would place the alleged incident between games three and four of the playoff series between the Sharks and Golden Knights.

The Cosmopolitan, one of the more lavish hotel-casinos on the Strip, wants Kane to return the money in addition to the legal fees associated with the suit, according to the newspaper.

Don't feel too bad for Kane - just last year, he signed a 7 year, $49 MILLION he can afford it! It alleges that eight gambling markers were used by Kane in and around April 15, 2019.

Representatives of the Sharks weren't immediately available for comment to the Review-Journal. He was suspended from the first three games of the 2019 National Hockey League season for his abuse of game officials.
