Waiters was said to have suffered a "medical emergency" on the team's flight from Phoenix to Los Angeles, and while a Heat spokesman refused to offer any specific details on the situation, Andy Slater of FOX Sports was able to unearth some additional information.

The Miami Heat have gone into lockdown when it comes to the status of guard Dion Waiters.

Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters experienced a panic attack on the team's charter flight Thursday night after consuming a THC-infused edible, sources told ESPN.

As in our original story, the Miami Heat have yet to comment.

James also led the league in minutes played per game during his last two seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2016-2018).

A report surfaced during Friday night's game, from a Miami radio personality, that Waiters had overdosed on "gummies" - we can assume these are THC-laced edibles - and had a seizure when he woke up. Former players of the franchise have good reason to be proud as the team appears to have wholeheartedly embraced the Heat culture. Think of it like this: If all the current National Basketball Association rosters were dismantled and each team was to draft from a pool of players in today's National Basketball Association, but for only this season, what would the top ten picks be? Waiters reportedly got into an argument with Heat coach Erik Spoelstra after Miami's preseason game against the Houston Rockets.
