NBC News Reporter Interrupted by Child on Air

NBC correspondent Courtney Kube was interrupted by her kid live on air

Temporarily distracted, the anchor apologizes, saying "Sorry, my kids are here - live television!" .

In the grand tradition of Robert E. Kelly a.k.a. BBC dad's instantly famous family, another child - appropriately dubbed MSNBC kid - has disrupted the news to light up the internet.

Kube, a national security correspondent for NBC News, was discussing Turkish airstrikes over Syria when her son came up and started pulling on her arm and then tapping her on the chest.

"I think it's fantastic that she's allowed to have her kids around while working".

She took the interruption in her stride and went on to talk about the situation in Syria as the screen cut to a map.

Kube flawlessly completed her report despite the distraction.

MSNBC didn't seem to mind though and tweeted a video of the incident, writing: "Sometimes unexpected breaking news happens while you're reporting breaking news".

Shared on MSNBC's Twitter handle on October 9, the video has collected over 2.6 million views - and still counting.

Ms Kube, 41, left many impressed with her multi-tasking skills. "I nearly picked him up and put him on my lap, but I was afraid he would lean back against mic. It could've been worse!"
