Doom Eternal delayed to March next year

Doom Eternal delayed to March 2020, Doom 64 now a preorder bonus

The reason for the delay is fairly standard: The game needs a bit more polish. Given that success, it was no surprise to see Bethesda announce a sequel called DOOM Eternal at E3 2018. The developer said they know many fans will be disappointed by the delay but are confident that Doom Eternal will deliver a gaming experience that is worth the wait.

According to the statement, Invasion Mode will not be available at launch but will be a free updated added shortly after the game hits stores.

There will be plenty of enemies and weapons at the Doom Slayer's disposal, including a Meat Hook accessory for the Super Shotgun-it slingshots the player towards and enemy and also functions as a grappling hook for navigating the environment.

Bethesda and id Software have announced that DOOM Eternal will be delayed to March 20, 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the Switch version set to be delayed even further.

Doom 64 will now also release March 20 on all four platforms, which is likely to disappoint Switch fans expecting the game this November. With this delay, the game has been pushed into the new year, as now it won't be launching until March 20th, 2020.

Doom 64: Doom 64 is coming to Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4 in addition to Nintendo Switch.
