Project Resistance Teaser Gives Us a First Look at Resident Evil Multiplayer

'Resident Evil: Project Resistance' Officially Revealed In First Trailer

Project Resistance will be shown at Capcom's booth during Tokyo Game Show 2019! . Ahead of schedule, Capcom released a full trailer for Project Resistance. The style of gameplay encourages lots of different strategies and can have a healthy meta community, but it remains to be seen if the RE faithful will embrace that in Project Resistance. Someone appears to be watching them from a control room and this mysterious figure activates traps and releases creatures.

The trailer description says it's "a brand-new team-based survival horror experience", and the logos at the end reveal it's coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Today that trailer finally dropped, revealing not much more than what could be seen in those first few sneakily sourced images.

These four, as we know, are the only playable characters in Project Resistance.

A sort of DM mechanic, either in the form of asymmetrical PVP, or something reminiscent of Valve's "Director" mechanic in the Left 4 Dead series. Either way, it certainly doesn't look like it's Resident Evil 8.

More details will be shared come Tokyo Game Show (TGS), which takes place this week.

The Capcom stream will begin at 11AM JST (or 10PM EST here in the U.S. on September 11), with the Project Resistance coverage beginning at 12:30.

Project Resistance looks to be a four-versus-one asynchronous online multiplayer game. "Resident Evil 2 is not only a stellar remake of the original, but it's also simply a strong horror game that delivers anxiety-inducing and grotesque situations, topping some of the series' finest entries", said Alessandro Fillari. If you're familiar with Resident Evil's past multiplayer games like Resident Evil: Outbreak, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, and Umbrella Corps. you're probably aware that they are not the greatest games.
