Corbyn accuses Boris Johnson of hijacking referendum to shift power to wealthy

World News: Britain's Labour unveils plans to create Ministry for Employment Rights

"Prime minister: you can hide from parliament for a few weeks, but when we return we will be ready". "Amber Rudd's resignation confirmed that the government is not serious about trying to get a deal in Brussels".

Labour leader Mr Corbyn has produced apparent his priority is for an election when no deal is off the table, but Mr Watson will argue that the only way to conclusion the deadlock is with a next vote.

Although the debate ended without a vote and was not attended by the Prime Minister it was targeting, the session had been called by Labour MPs alarmed at the possibility the Prime Minister might find a way around a law they had passed to ban a full Brexit, forcing the nation to delay its withdrawal from the European Union once again.

Hitting back at Mr Watson, Tory chairman James Cleverly said: "Labour's deputy leader makes clear Labour wants to cancel the referendum result".

"The only way to break the Brexit deadlock once and for all is a public vote in a referendum", he will say.

"My experience on the doorstep tells me most of those who've deserted us over our Brexit policy did so with deep regret and would greatly prefer to come back; they just want us to take an unequivocal position that whatever happens we'll fight to remain, and to sound like we mean it", he will say.

"We are ready for that election, we are ready to unleash the biggest people-powered campaign we've ever seen in this country and in this movement", he stated.

Following meetings with trade union leaders on Tuesday, Labour's leader promised a further referendum on Brexit with a "credible Leave option" versus Remain if his party wins the next general election.

He will say: "Prime Minister Johnson now thinks that by shutting down parliament he will shut us up". Now Labour insists there should only be a vote if the number of potential outcomes are limited, preventing the British people from voting in a government the Labour leadership considers unacceptable.

If Labour is to regain the insurgent momentum of 2017 the focus of Corbyn and shadow minister of labour Laura Pidcock's speeches to TUC show us where to start.

Corbyn also stressed Labour's plan to give workers a third of seats on company boards, and pledged to create a Workers Protection Agency to enforce rights, standards and protections at work and introduce sectoral collective bargaining to set industry-wide minimum standards. "And they are increasingly despairing seeing what's going on in Parliament and the role that the Labour Party is playing, and the fact the Labour Party won't even have an election, frankly they're scratching their heads and wondering what is going on and what is the Labour Party for?"

"So a general election is coming".
