Paramedics offer medical attention after a shooting at a Walmart store Tuesday

The shooting in El Paso came days after a Walmart employee shot and killed two other workers in Southaven, Miss., and a day before a gunman killed nine people in Dayton, Ohio.

"We have made great strides already, but now we must organize to shape this company into a place we can all be proud of", he continued in the email. Managers told him they would restore access "on stipulation you will not use it for non-work activities", the 23-year-old said in an interview.

Walmart Inc.is removing displays of violent video games and movies in its stores in the wake of two deadly shootings at its locations in Texas and MS in recent weeks.

Marshall said he and his colleagues are also organizing a walkout and moment of silence at 3 p.m. local time Monday at facilities across the country.

In a Facebook post Tuesday, Walmart chief executive Doug McMillon said Walmart would "work to understand the many important issues that arise from El Paso and Southaven, as well as those that have been raised in the broader national discussion around gun violence".

After the El Paso shooting, a spokesman said that the company wouldn't stop selling guns or ammunition.

However, the chain did not say it would stop selling firearms despite pressure from progressives and gun control advocates.

Employees were also ordered to turn off hunting season videos in the sporting goods department where guns are sold.

He said he next plans to send a petition to Walmart CEO Doug McMillon that asks Walmart to stop selling guns and ammunition in its stores, ban people from carrying guns onto company property, and cease donations to politicians who accept money from the National Rifle Association.

Marshall said that he, perturbed by Walmart's commitment to pursue to trade firearms even after the extermination in one of its own stores in El Paso terminated at least 22 on Saturday.

"There are more effective channels such as email or leadership conversations", he said, responding to the petition, The Post reported.

Walmart does not sell assault-style rifles - it stopped doing so in 2015.

Walmart's store employees have long called on the company to improve pay, benefits and scheduling practices. Walmart is trying to place the roughly 400 workers from the El Paso store with other stores in the area, he added. "We are more resolved than ever to foster an inclusive environment where all people are valued and welcomed". We'll be thoughtful and deliberate in our responses, and will act in a way that reflects our best values and ideals, focused on the needs of our customers, associates and communities. I continue to be amazed at the strength and resilience that we find in the diversity of the communities where we live and work.

Grief counselors will be available to employees for support, McMillon wrote. The company faced some consumer backlash after raising the minimum age to purchase guns to 21.
