Raiders WR Antonio Brown in "breach of contract" over helmet issue

Antonio Brown Isn't Going to Like the NFL's Official Statement on His Helmet

"You get used to the same helmet for a long period of time and I did that", Brady said Monday on WEEI sports radio in Boston.

Just after it was released that the arbitrator decided not to allow the older style of helmet, Brown took to his twitter account, where he states that he's going to rejoin his teammates on the field after getting back to full health.

A Hall-of-Fame talent still at the peak of his powers made a decision to collect roughly $30 million guaranteed from the Raiders, and more likely $50 million over the life of a three-year contract.

"The player" undoubtedly means Brown.

Following these reports, Raiders head coach Jon Gruden publicly expressed his support for Brown regarding the helmet issue. "I hope we can start callin' em".

Expect Brown to wear an approved helmet when he returns from that injury.

"I support this guy".

"I've been experimenting with a couple different ones", he said. This was a total accident.

"The player can't practice or play in games with equipment that's not approved", McCarthy said. I know some people are smarting at it, but it's really not a laughing matter. Over the extended time he's missed, Brown has seen a foot specialist and his feet are now considered to be a nonissue moving forward. The NFL said Brown would be in breach of his contract if he didn't play in a new helmet. The model Brown has worn for the past 10 seasons has been ruled unsafe by the National Football League, alongside a host of other helmet types, but the 31-year-old still showed up to training camp with it. AB took to Instagram where he explained how he's excited to get back to football and that he will remain a member of the Raiders, despite the initial threats.
