Arsenal boss Emery admits top 4 a must after mega spend

Chelsea’s David Luiz is close to leaving Stamford Bridge

David Luiz has officially joined Arsenal today and he has signed a two-year deal with the gunners who have managed to snap him up from Chelsea for just £8million.

While Sky Sports were reporting outside Stamford Bridge with the latest developments on deadline day, the supporter in question could be seen in the background punching a poster of Luiz.

Brazil global Luiz, who also won the Europa League (2013, 2019), spent two years at Paris St-Germain where he played under Arsenal manager Unai Emery after joining the French club in 2014 before returning to Stamford Bridge.

Alex Iwobi left for Everton, Carl Jenkinson moved to Nottingham Forest and former captain Laurent Koscielny departed acrimoniously for Bordeaux in recent days.

Unai Emery is expecting more movement at Arsenal before transfer windows across Europe close, with the Gunners open to sanctioning further departures.
