WWE Issues Statement On Jeff Hardy's Arrest

WWE's Jeff Hardy Arrested For Being

Cops say the wrestler, now known as Brother Nero, was taken into custody at the Ocean Enclave Resort in Myrtle Beach after they received calls about a drunken man around 11 a.m.

Hardy paid the first time offenders fee of $153 and there is no court date. He was quickly released from jail, but not before a mugshot could be taken. Hardy pleaded guilty, was fined and served 10 days in jail.

He was arrested at his home in North Carolina in September 2009 for possession of prescription pills, anabolic steroids and drug paraphernalia.

WWE has released a statement in response to Jeff Hardy's arrest over the weekend. It's still unclear was led to Hardy being charged; he has been sidelined with a knee injury and had surgery on it in May, and said he was looking at a recovery time of 6-9 months.
