Tyga Cancels Show in Sweden Following A$AP Rocky Arrest

ASAP Rocky

Tyga, whose real name is Micheal Ray Stevenson, is the latest to show public support for the New York City native, 30, who has been in custody for nine days after he was involved in a June 30 fight. A Swedish Prosecution Officer spokesperson confirmed the arrest with CBS News and said Rocky was being held for suspected "gross assault", but declined to provide any further details.

Meanwhile, former U.S. ambassador to Sweden Mark Brzezinski demanded that the Swedish government or the royal house should intervene in the case of ASAP Rocky (real name Rakim Mayers). The two young men followed A$AP Rocky and his crew relentlessly and even threw a projectile at the security.

The statement said: "A$AP Rocky is being detained in a Swedish jail for an unknown period of time for acting in self-defence during an altercation that took place". I live in fucking Soho and Beverly Hills. I'm not doing anything outside of that. The very next day TMZ published the video of the fight, which purportedly showed Rocky and his entourage fighting against one other person.

Rocky's lawyer added, "He has lacked appetite at the beginning when he was arrested but tries to eat to the best of his ability". That's when the two groups of men started brawling.

That led to Rocky posting videos to his Instagram account claiming he was "INNOCENT".

ASAP Rocky was forced to cancel all its performances in July, reports TMZ. The "Goldie" rapper's appeal was reportedly denied by the Swedish court, meaning Rocky is likely to stay behind bars until his official court date. "Upon being detained, Rocky was denied his request to counsel which is in violation of Article 36 of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, to which Sweden is a signatory", the petition said. However, when Rocky went in for police questioning about the matter he was taken into custody where he has remained without a bail ever since.
