Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones WF-1000XM3 Official Product Video

Unlike the Melomania earphones we reviewed recently, Sony's plugs include a Quick Attention mode that allows folks to let the outside world's noise in without removing an earphone - useful when chatting to friends or listening for announcements at a transport hub.

Sony WF-1000XM3 is the latest noise canceling truly wireless earbuds that has arrived in the market.

The WF-1000XM3 pledges a "next level of silence" courtesy of its Dual Noise Sensor technology and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e.

The earbuds have a new, fresh look, new features and, Sony says, a lot of improvements over their predecessor.

The battery life of the headphones usually depends on several factors, such as the type of music, the volume, the distance between the two Bluetooth devices and the suppression of noise. The WF-1000XM3 buds have six hours of battery life, while the accompanying charging case can power them three times for a total of 24 hours listening time. Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX (DSEE HX™) upscales compressed digital music files, including MP3 formats, to bring the user closer to the quality of High-Resolution Audio.

When Sony launched the WF-1000X, the company's first true wireless headphones, they became an instant hit but the Japanese giant took two more years before it made a decision to release their successor: the WF-1000XM3. The earphones are claimed to offer 6 hours of use on a single charge with active noise cancellation switched on, and 8 hours with it switched off. Besides, the new Wearing Detection function automatically pauses the song if you remove one of the earphones and resume playback when you reinsert it.

Sony WF-1000XM3 also comes with some cool features.

You can of course take calls using the earphones and communicate with Google Assistant, and the earphones can be tweaked and controlled using Sony's Headphones Connect app. Available in both white and black colors, the headphones typically sell for $350 when they're not discounted.
