R. Kelly’s Ex-Employees Handed Over 20 Underage Sex Tapes To Feds

R. Kelly hit with new charges

Celebrity attorney Michael Avenatti said Monday that R&B singer R. Kelly paid $2 million to keep the alleged victim in a child pornography case off the witness stand during a 2008 trial that ended with his acquittal on all charges. The singer has been charged with 11 new more serious charges of sexual misconduct.

Fitzpatrick, spokesperson for the US Attorney's Office of the Northern District of IL, confirmed Kelly had been arrested on a 13-count indictment: "The indictment includes charges of child pornography, enticement of a minor, and obstruction of justice". After the Feds took down the beleaguered R&B singer, details of the arrest have been coming forth, including some of Kelly's former staffers handing over almost two dozen tapes of him having sex with underage girls.

Kelly is expected in court.

Federal judges were supposed to meet Monday in Chicago to figure how to proceed in the case that involves separate indictments out of Chicago and NY.

The Blast states that Brown will face a judge next week and that sources close to the federal probe told them that "more indictments are on the way".

At a press conference in Chicago on Monday, Avenatti said that at least one of the whistleblowers made copies of the tapes that Avenatti ultimately turned over to the Cook county state's attorney, Kim Foxx. A spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office in Chicago declined comment.

A bail hearing is set to take place next week, and Kelly reportedly hopes to be released from custody at its conclusion. "And If I'm the prosecutor I would want to make sure the judge did that because I don't want the case to come back because he's got a conflict".

Gerald Griggs - who represents Joycelyn Savage's family among others - tells TMZ the federal investigation run by the Northern District of IL uncovered over 20 videos of Kelly engaged with minors.

"There is no conflict".
