#FOS: CONFIRMED! Lexus Shows Off The PRODUCTION LC Convertible

It Is Alive: Lexus Shows Off Thinly Veiled LC Convertible Prototype

Lexus brought the LC with camo on it, camo that actually looks great! But, at this weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed, all is forgiven; the company has announced that yes, the LC Convertible will go into production "in the near future". Note that the conceptual model was presented at the beginning of this year at the auto show in Detroit. The concept's design goal was to express "Ultimate Beauty", and it provoked an enthusiastic response from both industry experts and the public.

The Lexus LC Convertible looks quite similar to it's concept form.

According to the luxury arm of the Toyota Motor Corporation, the convertible will have its own distinct identity despite sharing the coupé's proportions, with large wheels and short overhangs, and offering drivers with the same "rewarding driving experience".

The LC convertible prototype will be driven up the Goodwood Hillclimb by Professional race driver Nick Cassidy, who now competes in the Super GT series's GT500 class in Japan.

Speaking on the occasion, Koji Sato, Lexus International Executive Vice President, said, "The Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates the history and culture of the automobile and serves as a gathering place for some of history's most notable cars and drivers".

After the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Lexus LC Convertible prototype will make its way to "different venues", as Lexus puts it, in order to give its engineers more feedback before a proper debut.
