Dogecoin Finally Listed on Binance — DOGE Price Up 30

The price of the ever-popular meme-centric Dogecoin (DOGE) cryptocurrency has seen an outstanding 37% price surge after Binance announced that it would be listing the altcoin. The exchange will offer trading pairs for DOGE against Binance coin (BNB) and Bitcoin (BTC).

Starting at noon UTC today, the following dogecoin pairs will start being traded on the exchange: DOGE/BNB, DOGE/BTC, DOGE/USDT, DOGE/PAX, and DOGE/USDC. Unlike most other cryptocurrencies, there is no set cap on the total supply of DOGE.

The creators of Dogecoin produced it as an attempt to foster a "better" method of digital assets among the crypto-community that was exhausted with technical issues and controversial stories. However, the enthusiasm for these sorts of campaigns seems to have cooled off in recent years - price speculation (and of course, memes) appears to be the main topic of discussion in forums such as r/dogecoin.

DOGE's price action is a good illustration of what can happen when a major exchange signs on to handle market transactions for a particular altcoin, which Dogecoin is in most people's definitions. "Users can already deposit DOGE in preparation for trading, the exchange said".

Dogecoin is one of the most popular digital currencies out there and now trades at $0.003769 Dollars per coin.

That's something to take with a grain of salt as you're evaluating where to put any particular crypto investment in today's volatile landscape. "The users/community is large, and a famous "ex-CEO" (cough @elonmusk) helps!"

Recently Vitalik Buterin and the crypto baron John McAfee have mentioned on Twitter that they are pro-DOGE.

"Dogecoin might be my fav cryptocurrency".

The CEO of SpaceX went as far as changing his Twitter bio to read "CEO of Dogecoin".
