Aston Villa play waiting game on loan deal for Axel Tuanzebe

Bournemouth have confirmed the sale of Tyrone Mings is their largest ever transfer fee received, with the centre-back joining Aston Villa.

Newly promoted Premier League side Aston Villa have shown interest in Egypt worldwide defender Ahmed Hegazi, according to reports in England.

That fee could rise to over £25m if a number of clauses are met, with Mings expected to pen a long-term contract at his new club.

Villa boss Dean Smith and chief executive Christian Purslow were determined to complete a permanent move for Mings, 26, after he impressed on loan last season.

The England global could be an ideal fit for the club with the striker having proved he can find the back of the net as he scored 67 goals in 160 games for Liverpool.

"Absolutely delighted to be back as a permanent [Aston Villa] player", Mings wrote on Twitter after the deal was announced.

A left back at Bournemouth, Mings has played just 857 Premier League minutes since making the jump from Ipswich Town to Bournemouth in 2015.

"He will be an integral part of the squad for the new season and I look forward to working with him and helping to further develop his game".

Villa have already secured other permanent signings including Anwar El Ghazi from French side Lille and Kortney Huase from Wolverhampton Wanderers after they had successful loan spells with the Birmingham club.

And he's about to become a two-time club record signing.

They are reportedly searching for another goalkeeper, while the likes of Leeds' midfielder Kalvin Phillips, Brentford's Said Benrahma and Adam Webster of Bristol City.
