Watch Dogs: Legion Reveal Shows New Location and Gameplay Elements

Image Ubisoft

As has been teased for years now, Watch Dogs Legion takes place in London. Each of these NPCs have their own origin stories, statistics, voice actors, animation sets, and special skills. Legion will instead have players recruit people off the streets of London, the city in which the game is set, and play as those recruits.

Ubisoft has also released the official World Premiere Trailer as well as Gameplay Walkthrough footage of the upcoming game and it looks fantastic.

You'll be able to play as any of the characters you meet around London, assuming you can recruit them to DeadSec first.

From the gameplay footage shown, London looks absolutely fantastic. The local government has fled, and an extremist group by the name of Albion - the Old English name for Great Britain - have taken over and transformed the country into a surveillance state. In the gameplay demo, the playable character died, and it was at this point that the ability to play as multiple different characters was officially confirmed.

Like the previous leak suggested, it does indeed take place in a post-Brexit London, where the United Kingdom is a surveillance state and "freedom has been replaced with fear". Back then, however, you could only hunt down or hack the other player, and the mode was only limited to a sort of impromptu one-on-one showdown. You can recruit any citizen for DedSec's cause, and that opens a world of possibilities because every NPC has a unique life.

Watch Dogs Legion is set in London, United Kingdom. Ubisoft fans looking for dogs at E3 will have to settle on Ghost Recon: Breakpoint star Jon Bernthal's Ubisoft E3 stage appearance where he brought his pitbull (a type of dog) named "Bam Bam" on stage to be a good boy.

Ubisoft kicked off its E3 2019 conference by pulling the curtain back with new gameplay for Watch Dogs Legion. At least, we were not supposed to see them, but a few leaked ahead of the conference.
