OnePlus 7 Pro starts receiving OxygenOS 9.5.7 update with a ton of camera improvements

The OnePlus 7 Pro camera received mixed reviews from early adopters of the phone, but the company is committed to improving the imaging capabilities of the device. So for course correction, the company has improved the camera's overall contrast and colour performance, white balance and accuracy and stability of auto-focusing. In the System department, fixes are being delivered to Ambient Display, optimizations to Double Tap to Wake, as well as screen sensitivity fixes.

For security, this phone has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.

The OnePlus 7 Pro users in recent days have been receiving notification of OxygenOS update, which is about 127MB in size. It also has a 20MP pop-up selfie camera.

At the time of launch, OnePlus had promised to release a camera update that was also provided to DxOMark for their lab tests. That is not all though, the OxygenOS v9.5.7 for OnePlus 7 Pro also includes some system-level upgrades. The major improvement is in the ultra-wide sensor which upgraded the contrast, colour saturation, clarity in shooting and noise reduction in the low-light scenes. This update also fixes an issue of greenish tone in some low light scenes, and reduces noise in some HDR scenes. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. In terms of optics, the smartphone has a triple rear camera setup comprised of an f/1.6 aperture equipped 48 MP primary sensor; and an f/2.4 aperture equipped 8 MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom; the third sensor used is an f/2.2 aperture equipped 16 MP ultra wide angle lens with a Field of View (FoV) of 117 degrees. On the front, there is a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. However, the OnePlus 7 Pro lacks a 3.5mm audio jack and needs Type-C earphones. The sale will start from June 14th as mentioned abovem and users can avail up to Rs 2,000 cash back on SBI credit and debit cards at Amazon, Reliance store and Croma.
