Listen to Taylor Swift's new single 'You Need to Calm Down'

Taylor Swift Announces Album Name, Release Date and New Single on Instagram Live

Swift also announced that the second single from the album, "You Need to Calm Down", will drop at midnight Friday.

The album's release date has a significant meaning.

On the special edition albums, there will be two bonus audio memos from Swift's songwriting session - similar to the bonus tracks on her fifth album 1989.

Say it in the street, that's a knockout / but you say it in a tweet, that's a cop out / and I'm just like hey / are you okay, ' she continues.

The pop megastar announced the details of her new album on Instagram, with the new album out on August 23. The song itself is bright and bubbly, while fans speculated the butterfly-filled music video symbolized the retirement of Swift's dark "Reputation"-era snake imagery".

Fans began speculating that Swift was releasing a new set of songs - and a new version of herself when her social media began to turn to pastel hues. And that's because Lindsay went wild in the comments section of the live blog video, saying things like "You should respond!" and "My mom was in cats". "I'm not planning to stop encouraging young people to vote and to try to get them to talk about what's going on in our country". Because the video is very worth the wait.

"This album in tone is very romantic-and not just simply thematically, like it's all love songs or something". Your reactions to the song have made me so happy for you!

A few fans have noticed that the album's release date adds up to her lucky number.

The album will have 18 tracks, she added, saying, "That's more than I've had on an album before". "There's a lot going on in the video so I wanted that to be a separate discovery", she said.

"Usually when I'm writing songs, I like to just record everything that's happening".

"As you know, the House just passed the Equality Act, which would protect LGBTQ people from discrimination in the workplace, in their homes and in schools", Swift said.
