Justin Bieber challenges Tom Cruise to UFC cage fight

LONDON UNITED KINGDOM- SEPTEMBER 18 Justin Bieber seen out and about

Justin Bieber has challenged Tom Cruise to a UFC-style cage fight.

"At some point tonight Tom Cruise's agent will have to call Tom Cruise and tell him Justin Bieber has challenged him to a fight", another user tweeted.

"Tom, if you don't take this fight you're scared and you will never live it down".

The "Sorry" hitmaker reached out to ask UFC boss Dana White if she'd be willing to stage a bout between himself and the '"Mission: Impossible" actor, though it's unclear why the 25-year-old singer wants to grapple with the 56-year-old action star.

"You wanna control Cruise in this match?"

Many pointed out the age difference between Justin, 25, and Tom, 56, with one writing: "Tom Cruise is nearly 60, were there no 80 year olds to pick a fight with?"

"If Tom Cruise is man enough to accept this challenge, McGregor Sports and Entertainment will host the bout", he said.

More news: Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have split

Conor McGregor and boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya - who now runs Golden Boy Boxing - both offered to host the event. "Stay tuned to find out!" he tweeted.

In what could soon turn out to be the most high-profile celebrity tournaments of all time, McGregor then posed his own challenge to actor Mark Walhberg to fight on the same card.

Plenty of people took to Twitter to announce their confusion.

"We live in a world where Justin Bieber is asking Tom Cruise for a fight in the octagon on Twitter".

Perhaps Bieber simply watched a movie starring Cruise, saw a fight scene, and thought, "Hey, I could take him".

White did not immediately respond on Twitter and Cruise's representatives have been contacted for comment.
