Rolling Stones announces new Miami date for rescheduled tour

On Wednesday, Jagger provided evidence that he got what he needed from the surgery, posting video showing off his famous moves in what appears to be a dance studio.

Early Thursday, the band posted on Twitter that the tour was back on.

The Stones' frontman underwent a procedure a transcatheter aortic valve replacement, which is a minimally invasive procedure, on April 4.

Since then Jagger has thanked hospital staff and fans for their support, and has been seen relaxing with family and friends as he recovers.

The Rolling Stones are restarting their North American tour after Mick Jagger's health forced a postponement announcement in March.

The procedure seems to have been a rousing success: Jagger himself posted a video on Twitter yesterday of him dancing in a white T-shirt and black track trousers, fit as a fiddle.

The operation came after it was announced The Rolling Stones would be cancelling their upcoming gigs due to Mick Jagger's illness.

The tour now begins with the previously scheduled shows in Chicago and Ontario, and the new NOLA date will take place July 14 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Those who can't go on the rescheduled date can get a refund through their Ticketmaster account. Other cities on the tour include New Orleans, Miami, Seattle and East Rutherford, New Jersey.
