U.S. President Donald Trump's personal attorney, Rudolph Giuliani, has canceled his visit to Kyiv where he was to meet with Ukraine's President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Fox News.

"The fact that we're not even done with this investigation of the last foreign interference in our election and Giuliani, apparently with the president's - at least initially - knowledge and blessing, was going to get the help of another foreign government in a presidential election ... it tells me that they not only think this - there's nothing wrong with this".

Mr. Trump has known as attention to the scrutiny of Mr. Biden's son Hunter Biden, and to questions in regards to the venerable vice president's involvement within the removal of a Ukrainian prosecutor whose workplace had authority over investigations of the oligarch whose company paid Hunter Biden. He re-opened the case this spring in the midst of Ukraine's presidential campaign in what was seen as an effort to win Trump administration support for Poroshenko.

Rudy Giuliani took to Twitter Friday to explain his rationale for traveling to Kiev to push for two probes. According to Special Counsel Robert Mueller's report, Trump, met with then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions in the Oval Office in October 2017 and asked him to take [a] look at investigating Hillary Clinton, his Democratic rival in 2016. Biden called for the removal of the top Ukrainian prosecutor, who at one point had been investigating a Ukrainian natural gas company connected to Biden's son, Hunter.

Giuliani sent out his own tweet about the report: 'Biden conflicts are too apparent to be ignored and should be investigated quickly and expeditiously.

Giuliani admitted in an interview with Fox News that the trip could be "very helpful" to President Donald Trump.

Rep. Jerrod Nadler said American politics were in "a sorry state" if the president's lawyer was seeking foreign interference. "And I'm going to give them reasons why they shouldn't stop it because that information will be very, very helpful to my client, and may turn out to be helpful to my government", he said. Some Trump allies have suggested they can tarnish Joe Biden with questions about corruption, founded or not, much like they did to Clinton in 2016.

The person said Zelensky would rule out using political pressure to lean on Ukrainian law enforcement to achieve any White House aims. Usually, when the president talks about the Times, it is to attack the paper as "failing" or part of the 'fake news'.

A spokesperson for Biden told The New York Times, and later ABC News, that Biden's push to remove the prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, was made "without any regard for how it would or would not impact any business interests of his son, a private citizen" and was all part of a broadly-supported us effort "to root out corruption in Ukraine".

"I think that was a mistake, yes".

"We're not meddling in an election, we're meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do", he told the newspaper.

Biden's chief demand was the ouster of a top Ukrainian prosecutor who he said had been ineffective.

In the Times article, Giuliani argued he's not acting illegally, though he admitted, "somebody could say it's improper".
