Swamp Thing reveals its hero in new promo after production shutdown

First Look at Swamp Thing Revealed

According to the local setup, the writers of SWAMP THING have been tasked with re-writing the show's finale as the series plans to mulch their original 13-episode order to just 10 chapters of the upcoming Swampy saga. Check out the first look at Swamp Thing in the player below!

Many horror and superhero fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Swamp Thing, a new television series from DC and Warner Bros. We have been cut to the core by those who have never set foot into the Swamp. It wasn't long before further rumors began to spread: the show was canceled, the DC Universe might be getting scrapped entirely, dogs and cats would soon be living together. Swamp Thing (who is the alter ego of deceased scientist Alec Holland, resurrected by nature itself to become its protector) has always had a very hard look to nail, as he can appear rather silly.

According to the newspaper, Swamp Thing actor Virginia Madsen posted (but later deleted) a message on Instagram saying: "I'm beyond sad". At the same time, it has been reported that WB is questioning the future of the DC Universe streaming service, however sources close to the service have informed Cosmic Book News that is not the case and that the creative decisions for Swamp Thing are unrelated to the health of the platform and that the DC Universe streaming network is thriving.

What makes this Swamp Thing situation different is the way one of its stars reacted on social media. And despite the rule I am going to use the hashtag.

It's always been rumored that the DC Universe streaming service has been struggling to find an audience. For the moment, there's no telling when the new ending will be shot, or the re-shoots for previous episodes for that matter. For the sake of comparison, Disney+, which was just announced by Disney, will cost just $7 per month and will play host to a lot more premium content, in addition to the studio's entire back catalog of movies.

It wasn't only the local players who were taken aback by the sudden news of Swamp Thing's reduction in production days and episodes.
