Nintendo's Labo will make Breath of the Wild playable in VR

Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild getting VR support

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" and "Super Mario Odyssey" will be playable in virtual reality using Nintendo's Labo VR kit.

Mario Odyssey in VR won't be the full version, instead, it'll be three mini-games where players have to collect coins and musical notes to complete objectives. For Breath of the Wild, you can play the whole game with VR support, the update coming on 24th April and adding a simple toggle in the options, continuing your existing save, if you like.

Last month's announcement of the Nintendo Labo VR Kit came as a bit of a surprise.

Are these additions enough to get you to pick up the Nintendo Labo VR Kit? These three missions will take place across the Seaside, Luncheon, and Cap Kingdoms.

As cool as the concept of virtual reality video games is, there are a couple of serious hurdles developers face. You can simply switch the functionality on and off from the game's main menu. Breath of the Wild will be receiving free updates that add VR functionality. The full set with all accessories will be $79.99, but a Starter Kit with the VR goggles and blaster will be available at $39.99.

Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit - Expansion Set 1: Available at a suggested retail price of $19.99, Expansion Set 1 includes the Toy-Con Elephant and Toy-Con Camera. If you are interested in picking up a Labo to experience these newly announced patches, Labo VR is planned for a release in late April - with a release date to be released soon.

Mario Odyssey appears to be getting a VR-specific update that will give players a brief new adventure.
