Lori Loughlin's Rare Appearances Since the College Admissions Scandal

Felicity Huffman and other parents agree to plead guilty in college admissions scandal

It's much more likely she would spend between six months and two years in prison, according to the report.

Although the prosecutors are still recommending some jail time, on the lower end of the sentencing range, the minimum amount has increased for Loughlin and Giannulli because of new indictment.

In a written statement Monday, Huffman expressed "deep regret and shame over what I have done", and said she was ashamed for the pain she had caused her daughter, friends and others. She allegedly paid a consultant $15,000 to help her daughter cheat on her SAT exam.

Federal authorities said Monday that Michael Center will plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

The Mossimo fashion designer and "Full House" actress are now facing additional charges for their involvement in the nation's largest college admissions scandal to date.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney's Office in MA brought additional charges of fraud and money laundering charges against several defendants. "This transgression toward her and the public I will carry for the rest of my life", Huffman said.

Loughlin and Giannulli were not among the 13 parents that chose to plead guilty to the charges on Monday under an agreement that had been worked out with federal prosecutors.

Huffman, the 56-year-old Emmy-winner who stared in ABC's "Desperate Housewives", was accused of paying $15,000 disguised as a charitable donation to have a proctor correct the answers on her daughter's Saturday.

Huffman's husband, the actor William H. Macy, is not charged in the case. Singer was charged with racketeering, money laundering, conspiracy to defraud, and obstruction of justice.

Colleges have begun revoking the admissions and pursuing expulsion of students who obtained their seats as a result of the fraud.

According to prosecutors, the accused parents paid a firm run by Singer to cheat on college entrance exams for their children or to bribe coaches to help non-athletic students get sports scholarships.

Ms Loughlin is accused along with her husband of paying almost $500,000 (£382,500) in bribes to get their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California.

'USC has placed holds on the accounts of students who may be associated with the alleged admissions scheme, ' the statement said.
