Final season of GoT set for over one billion viewers

Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen

"60 Minutes" will screen an exclusive first look from the first episode of "Game of Thrones'" eighth and final season - hours before it premieres on HBO Sunday, the CBS show announced Wednesday.

Emilia Clarke attends HBO's "Game of Thrones" final season premiere at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, in NY.

"The people of Beirut support Jon Snow in his battle against the White Walkers" read one banner hanging above a busy bridge.

The actress interrupted his Saturday Night Live monologue to ask what all fans were thinking, "How soon can you grow back that beard?". "Cersei Lannister, be smart; our strength is in our unity", said another.

Meanwhile, the recent trailers of Game of Thrones Season 8 gave some hidden clues which fans have been ruthlessly trying to decipher.

"We could probably do absolutely nothing and shatter every ratings record in the book", said Chris Spadaccini, executive VP and president of marketing at HBO, on the latest episode of the Variety podcast "Strictly Business".

"We were looking for songs that made us feel the way the show made us feel", the creators explained.

"We want people to love it".

"I'm addicted! When Jon Snow died three seasons ago, we received guests at my house in the traditional way the Lebanese offer condolences", he says.

Her concern: "What are we going to do for money now?" citing that her husband had taken his role of "King of the North" too seriously and splurged all their money.

The banners' idea came to Al-Timrawi as he was recently watching re-runs in anticipation of the final season which will be broadcast in the UAE on April 15. We were shown a small glimpse of the highly awaited reunion between Jon and Arya Stark and there are further inclinations that Jon might be riding one of Daenerys Targaryen's dragons.
