Worker is fired and deported from UAE for 'celebrating' New Zealand attack

NZ PM Jacinda Ardern Has Announced A National Ban On Military Style Firearms

The bullet-riddled Al Noor mosque in Christchurch was being repaired, painted and cleaned ahead of Friday prayers, as grieving families buried more victims.

Prime Minister Arden also said that New Zealand was in shock and informed PM Imran of immediate actions taken after the attack including the banning of all military style semi and automatic guns and assault rifles. "My expectation is that the law will be in place by the end of the next two weeks' sitting sessions, which is by the end of April", she said.

Ardern said the policy position was inspired by Australia's gun law reform and buyback after the 1996 Port Arthur massacre, in which 35 people were killed with a semi-automatic weapon.

Bruce Plant, a rifle range club secretary in Oamaru, south of Christchurch, said there was little need for military-style weapons in New Zealand. Overall, 57% of US adults say gun laws should be more strict, while 31% say they are about right and 11% say they should be less strict.

In a post on Facebook, Christchurch United Football Club Academy Director Colin Williamson described Omar as "a handsome human being with a tremendous heart and love for coaching". Thousands of worshippers are expected at the Al Noor mosque, where the majority of victims died.

Many came from Cashmere High School, which Sayyad attended alongside fellow victim Hamza Mustafa, a Syrian refugeewho was buried Wednesday.

Police Commissioner Mike Bush said investigators were trying to conclude their work at the two mosques.

Abdul Azis, who has become a "hero" of the tragedy by throwing a automatic teller machine at the attacker in the Linwood mosque driving him away, received a spontaneous tribute from New Zealanders.

Police have now identified all 50 victims.

"Police have been working relentlessly, doing everything in our power to gather all appropriate evidence from what are active crime scenes so we can allow people to return to the mosques as quickly as possible", a police spokesman said, referring to Al Noor and a second mosque in Christchurch attacked by the gunman.

Asked about the people who illegally hold military-style semi-automatic, she said, "we just want the guns back".

Ardern said she expected new legislation to be in place by April 11. He is said to have bought a number of weapons and...

Omar coached junior football teams.

"They will bury the carpet", he said.

Fouda said that he expects the mosque to be ready to open again by next week and that some skilled workers had offered their services for free.

The name of the person on the charging sheet has been suppressed by court order.

Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old Australian national, has so far been charged with a single count of murder.

Twenty-eight people who were injured in Friday's shootings are still in Christchurch Hospital, with six remaining in critical condition in intensive care, Mr Meates said.
