Viral tweet about 'sad' dad's doughnut shop makes business boom

When Son Posts Photo of Sad Dad in His Empty New Donut Shop, the Tweet Attracts Hundreds of Customers

All it took was a single tweet of a "sad" father stationed behind the counter of a newly opened but desolate mom-and-pop doughnut shop to bring the community out and get sales rolling. The building even had a bright "Grand Opening" sign out front, to let people know they were open for business.

Now, after being retweeted more than 334,000 times and like more than 748, 000 times, Billy's dad (who named the shop after his son *tear*) has a new problem: he keeps running out of kolaches and donuts because lines are OUT THE DOOR!

By's tweet amassed 275,000 retweets and 593,000 likes in short order and, as he announced less than 24 hours after the initial tweet, Billy's donuts had sold out of glazed and topped donuts, cinnamon rolls, and kolaches. His father's freshly-stocked inventory had completely sold out!

Needless to say, his dad isn't sad anymore. "You are all incredible", By tweeted, along with a photo of his no-longer-sad father.

CITY, Texas- All it took was a tweet. The tweet included several pictures, including one of his father standing alone in Billy's Donuts and another of the empty parking lot outside. "This means so much to my family". With the word about his dad's shop spreading quickly, By also shared the address for all the people interested in stopping by.

Then, on Monday, the doughnut store was sold out again after representatives from Twitter stopped by to pick up the tab for the morning's customers.
