USC Releases Statement Regarding the Fate of Lori Loughlin's Daughters

The YouTube star daughter of actress Lori Loughlin admitted just last week that her parents forced her to go to college and that her father "faked his way" through school by using tuition money to start his design business.

"HP worked with Lori Loughlin and Olivia Jade in 2017 for a one-time product campaign".

"It wouldn't come as a complete surprise if the brands now working with Ms. Giannulli took a closer look at the status of their relationship with her and possibly reconsidered next steps for engagement". Olivia has also partnered with Amazon, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs Beauty, Sephora and TRESemmé, among many other brands, although it remains to be seen if any of those sponsorships will be affected.

A rep for Olivia Jade declined to comment, as did Estee Lauder Companies, which owns Smashbox and Too Faced.

Since the scandal made news, Lori Loughlin has reportedly deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts (via People).

"We know a lot of people in that circle and it was really shocking", she said.

NBC reports that the actress is being charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services fraud.

Loughlin was in federal court Wednesday in Los Angeles, where she and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are accused of paying $500,000 in order for their two daughters to be designated as recruits to the USC crew team - despite the fact that neither of them ever participated in crew, the indictment claims.

On Tuesday, Loughlin was among a list of 50 people who have been indicted as part of an alleged nationwide scheme, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office in MA. Those include Desperate Housewives actress Felicity Huffman and TPG Growth founder Bill McGlashan.

Huffman was one of several charged who appeared in court on Tuesday before being released on bonds. USC said Tuesday two employees, a senior associate athletic director and women's water polo coach - were fired in connection with the scandal.

"The prime movers of this fraud" were the parents and other defendants, Lelling said, though he noted some students may face charges down the road.

The University of Southern California's interim president, Wanda Austin, issued a statement saying anyone involved who applied for the upcoming academic year will be denied admission, while current students implicated in the scheme will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. "Additionally, the university is reviewing its admissions processes broadly to ensure that such actions do not occur going forward".

Olivia Jade began YouTube vlogging back in 2014 when she was just 13: she mostly talks about make-up, but also fashion, fitness, and just her life as a California kid and celebrity offspring.

She posted a video to her YouTube channel on the day she was due to start college previous year, saying: 'I don't know how much of school I'm gonna attend.
