Turing technology for US$219: Nvidia announces the GeForce GTX 1660

Nvidia officially launches the Geforce GTX 1660

And one of the biggest costs was always the GPU.

On sale today for a starting price of £199, the GTX 1660 comes with 1,408 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR5 video memory with a bandwidth of 192GBps, and has a boost clock speed of 1.8GHz; Nvidia noted that clock speed could easily be increased with some overclocking. The new GTX 1660 does come in other shapes and sizes, like the dual slot, single fan GTX 1660 StormX OC 6G from Palit which The Guru of 3D reviewed.

Even so, thanks to the Turing architecture the new baby of the bunch has been created to improve performance and efficiency over older Pascal models.
