Sarri responds to reports Hazard could join Zidane’s Real

Eden Hazard's plan to leave for Real Madrid causes panic in Chelsea

The ex-Crystal Palace chief believes the Blues could well keep Hazard in the capital at the end of the season.

On January 9th, we covered a report from AS, who explained the La Liga giants approached the north London club in their efforts to sign the Spurs star, whose contract with his current employer will expire in 2020.

Hazard is again being linked with Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane's return as coach this week.

Meanwhile, Hazard is now being heavily touted to leave Chelsea for Real Madrid.

When asked if Madrid have given him an explanation, Mourinho said: "Why would they need to give me an explanation?"

"In this situation, what benefit is the money if they can't buy any players?"

"Like Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay", the left-back told Sky Sports.

Speaking in a news conference ahead of Chelsea's clash with Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League round of 16, Sarri insisted he is not dwelling on the uncertainty surrounding Hazard's future but reiterated that he will respect the Belgian's decision.
