Real Madrid have officially confirmed the signing of Brazilian defender Eder Militao.

Both clubs announced the move on Thursday and the Spanish club say the 21-year-old Brazil worldwide will sign a contract until 2025 with them.

And Real have already moved to land Zidane his first new player ahead of next season by agreeing a deal for 21-year-old Militao.

The player could yet the be the start of a summer splurge at Real after Zinedine Zidane's unexpected return to the club this week. Militao was named as the best defender in the competition for five consecutive matches.

Real Madrid have signed centre-back Eder Militao from Portp on a six-year deal.

The 21-year-old central defender is comfortable at right-back and in midfield and has been courted by a host of Europe's elite but Los Blancos have acted swiftly to secure the signature of the highly-rated Brazilian talent. It stands out for its speed, placement and ability to anticipate.

Those at the Santiago Bernabeu are hoping that he proves to be a shrewd addition for the future.

The defender has made one appearance for Brazil and can play at centre back, full back or defensive midfield.

The Blancos have endured a hard campaign as a result, with Zidane becoming the third man to fill their managerial hot-seat.
