'No Man's Sky' Reveals Huge New Multiplayer Experience With 'Beyond'

No Man’s Sky Beyond Will Bring Online In A Big Way Shannon Grixti

No Man's Sky is set to receive another significant update this summer, going beyond No Man's Sky NEXT with the appropriately titled "BEYOND" update.

Dubbed Beyond, Hello Games founder Sean Murray said today that this new update will have three major components to it. But, it stresses that it doesn't consider "No Man's Sky" an MMO.

No Man's Sky originally launched back in 2016 and we enjoyed it back then in our review stating "It's flawed in some fundamental, if fixable, ways, but No Man's Sky has a dreamlike allure".

If ever there was a case of a video game redeeming itself, No Man's Sky would be at the top of that list. He noted that the update will be free to all existing players and will not include subscriptions or microtransactions. What else do you think should be added to No Man's Sky? There is also no way to communicate with players inside of the game.

Beyond will contain three major updates rolled into one larger free release. Let us know on Facebook and Twitter.

These changes are an answer to how we have seen people playing since the release of NEXT, and is something we've dreamed of for a long time.

Hello Games will apparently reveal more details about No Man's Sky Beyond in the coming weeks and months leading up to its release, including the nature of the other two updates that will join with No Man's Sky Online. Multiplayer and PvP modes were the most noticeable omissions.

"Beyond will be our most ambitious chapter so far, and something we've been working ridiculously hard on".

No Man's Sky hasn't always had a great relationship with multiplayer.
