James Corden Pulls Off 'Embarrassing' Prank on David Beckham

David Beckham at la galaxy ceremony

Manchester United legend David Beckham was subjected to a merciless prank from friend and talk show host James Corden prior to the recent unveiling of the statue of him in full LA Galaxy kit at StubHub Center, paying homage to the ex-England captain as the club's greatest player.

The star clapped politely before raising his issues with the actor playing the sculptor, saying: "It's slightly different from what it was when I saw it in Chicago". "I mean, look at my chin". Up next came a highlight reel of Beckham's biggest soccer feats, which included a few unnecessary "lows", leaving the star shaking his head in disbelief.

David Beckham was left shell-shocked when James Corden pranked him with a disgusting commemorative statue. He said the elaborate prank took him more than two months to plan.

"It doesn't really look nothing like me though, look at my eyes".

"I really don't see how this can go out", he continued, panic slowly starting to set in as he realized the public would soon see it in its permanent place outside the stadium.

"The only thing that's good is the hair", he added.

"There's no way that can go at the front of the stadium".

"If my kids were to see this, I think they'd just cry!"

The legendary footballer is due to have a statue unveiled at his former team LA Galaxy's stadium, but before the official reveal James decided to make some mischief.

The statue's unveiling wasn't a thrilling moment for Beckham with all the features going awry.

"You've probably done me a favor there", Beckham quips as he somewhat relievedly stares at the splintered remains.

Then Corden comes out and reveals he's behind the entire stunt.
