Gmail users around the world unable to send emails

The Google disruption first came to light through social media posts at around 10am Singapore time

You are not alone.

The G Suite Status Dashboard notes that Gmail and Google Drive users are seeing a lot of "error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior".

In a statement on its service page, Google said "users will have issues accessing or attaching files in various products", both for Gmail and Drive. We will provide more information shortly.

As of 1pm, the issues were still continuing for some users.

People have reported trouble loading the website and sending emails. Drive: "Upload and download of files", said the company in the latest update posted at 10.14 am.

Some users affected by the outage claim that they are not able to send or receive emails.

After clicking "send" on an e-mail, some users are receiving this pop-up message: "Oops, something went wrong". Gmail has more than one billion active users globally. "Check your network and try again".

Google Maps also appeared to be experiencing issues, with users who tried to use Street View mode seeing a black screen, instead of images of the location. So far, more than 600 reports have been lodged in the past 20 minutes.
