"Egg Boy" Will Connolly has been Released Without Charge

'Egg Boy' GoFundMe Will Reportedly Help Mosque Victims

Will Connolly was thrust into the worldwide spotlight after filming himself egging the far-right politician, who was speaking at an event just a day after using the Christchurch terror attacks to condemn Muslim immigration.

Egg Boy William Connolly rose to fame after smashing an egg on Anning's head after the Senator made comments blaming Muslims for the Christchurch terror attack.

17-year-old Will Connolly filmed himself cracking an egg over the Senator's head at an event in Moorabbin over the weekend, with the Senator promptly punching him in the head in retaliation before Anning's supporters tackled Connolly to the ground. The funds were originally meant to cover his legal fees and to help him buy "more eggs".

Egg Boy has truly gone global. Connolly has been offered concert tickets for life and free vacations, and he has been portrayed in street art and on T-shirts. Senator Anning said the boy's mother should have slapped him long ago.
