Drake Drops Michael Jackson Collaboration from Tour Setlist

Simpsons producers remove iconic Michael Jackson episode

The British film-maker's two-part, four-hour tale, which focuses on claims by Wade Robson and James Safechuck that the pop-singer Michael Jackson molested them for year, has caused a stir around the globe.

An episode of The Simpsons featuring the voice of Michael Jackson will be pulled from distribution - less than a week after the release of a documentary, which exposed the singer's alleged sexual abuse.

"It feels clearly the only choice to make", Brooks told The Wall Street Journal.

Simpsons producers made the unanimous decision after viewing the bombshell documentary Leaving Neverland, which revives pedophilia accusations against the late megastar in excruciating detail.

The Los Angeles Lakers are no longer playing a Michael Jackson song as part of their in-game entertainment, seemingly as a response to the "Leaving Neverland" documentary. He continued, "This was a treasured episode. But this is our book, and we're allowed to take out a chapter", Brooks said.

Considering that Jackson had performed on The Simpsons' "Do The Bartman" one year earlier, it wasn't exactly a huge leap to assume that the musician would have lent his voice to the show. Jackson went credited under the pseudonym John Jay Smith when the episode originally aired.

In the 1991 Stark Raving Dad episode, Jackson voiced a character who claims to be Jackson and who meets Homer Simpson in a mental institution.

"We really did have him", Groening began.

"So when it came time to sing the songs, he had a soundalike singer [Kipp Lennon], and he stood there and watched the guy who was so nervous who had to sound like Michael Jackson".

Still, she doesn't know yet if she'll be dumping her Michael Jackson CDs and memories of the late star.
