Cardi B to make film debut as stripper opposite Jennifer Lopez

Hustlers Adds Julia Stiles Cardi B Keke Palmer & Lili Reinhart

While Cardi B and Lopez have worked together in the past when they collaborated on the track, Dinero, Hustlers marks the rapper's cinematic debut.

According to new reports, Cardi will be starring in an upcoming movie titled Hustlers alongside Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu!

Also joining the star-studded cast will be "Riverdale's" Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer from "Scream Queens", "Save the Last Dance" star Julia Stiles and Mercedes Ruehl from "The Fisher King". Mette Towley and Transparent's Trace Lysette are also in negotiations to join the cast.

The project, originally set up at Annapurna as "Hustlers at Scores", is inspired by a New York Magazine article by Jessica Pressler. But seeing as she used to be a stripper in real life, we'd say Cardi B is in a pretty good place when it comes to authentically playing the part.

J Lo is producing the film and Lorene Scafaria (The Meddler) will write and direct. "We're grateful to have assembled such a powerhouse cast and can't wait to start filming at the end of the week".

Lopez will also executive produce the film and shooting begins on March 22 in NY. Meanwhile, Oscar victor Adam McKay, Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum will also produce for Gloria Sanchez Productions, and STX executives Kate Vorhoff and Catherine Hagedorn will oversee the project on behalf of the studio.
