Android Q Beta Arriving on March 13, Tips Leaked Google Document

Android Q Beta Will Be Available For More Phones Than Android Pie Beta

Heading to the links in the bug description gives the filler as March 11 - that is, only bugs filed after that date, today, can be seen by the public. The search giant has just opened up the Android Q Beta bug tracker, and it appears that the beta will be launched on March 11. Mishaal and the folks at Android Police are hypothesising that this is "confirmation" that the Android Q Beta will be dropping today.

This means that more Android smartphone manufacturers could include support for beta access.

Illiyan: Yeah, in fact it was fully due to Treble. Like all previous releases of Android, Q will make its way to the Pixels before rolling out to other OEMs. And I think it was for the first time we had all of these companies line up to do developer previews and betas for Android Pie well ahead of the AOSP publication date. Generally, we have seen Google launching its new Android Versions around August and we can expect the same this year also. "Malchev stated ".when we did the first beta, we had all these companies lined up and that was really that fantastic. "But the trend is positive and strong, and I am very happy about this". "The number is bigger for the upcoming Android release, which I am very happy about".

Details, as vague as they were spilled on the Android Developers Backstage podcast, and picked up by the ever observant eyes at XDA-Developers. "I can not share the exact numbers yet", the report quoted Malchev as saying.

Google launched the first Android P Developer Preview build in mid-March a year ago, but there's a high chance that the first Android Q beta release will drop a few days earlier.

For Android Pie beta programme, brands like Essential, Nokia, OnePlus, Oppo, Sony, Vivo and Xiaomi were chosen and their select phones were a part of the early beta tests of unreleased Android P at the time.
