Nicki Minaj cancels BET headline slot as network apologises for Grammys tweet

Nicki Minaj Reportedly Backs Out of BET Experience After BET Tweet About Her

Nicki got upset and refused to perform at the BET Experience as we said above and in an attempt to make things right BET issued an apology.

Earlier today, Nicki Minaj revealed that she was no longer performing at the BET Experience concert in June after the BET network chose to blast her during the Grammy's last night.

Everything started when Cardi B became the first ever female rapper to win a Grammy for the Best Rap Album.

In an apology for the now-deleted tweet, BET said they love Nicki Minaj and have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward. Clearly, Nicki had already consulted with Lil Wayne who is among the headlining act.

Afterward, Minaj thanked fans for their support, adding, "Stay tuned". The cable network was forced to apologize to the Queen album creator. Finally, we apologize to all of her fans.

The statement that followed said: 'Unfortunately, the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written.

BET has officially released a statement apologizing to Minaj, according to Pitchfork. "And further does not reflect our company values". The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki. Since Nicki seems to be the only one repping Young Money these days, her threat may not hold much weight on the way this year's awards weekend will play out. "This should have never happened".

As of early Tuesday, the BET Experience festival website still showed Minaj and Lil Wayne would perform on June 21 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
