Gmail’s right-click menu is actually going to be useful going forward

New options will include reply, reply all, forward, moving to labels, labeling without moving, muting, finding emails from the same person, and more.

Gmail already offers a host of commands and actions you can run on a message.

Prior to this rollout, Gmail's right-click menu allowed users to archive an email, mark it as read or unread, and delete messages. Google announced on Monday that it's added a lot more functionality into Gmail's right click menu.

The update is expected to roll out on the 22nd of February for G Suite users but it will come by for the rest of us normies sometime later. But to access most of those commands, you have to first open the message and then hunt around for the command you want to run. If you're one of those people, we've got good news - Google is rolling out a small but significant update that should help you deal with email a bit quicker.

When using the web app, there's the typical icons to archive mail, delete, reply, etc, but there's also handy shortcut keys to move things quickly (a for reply all, e for archive, for example).

What do you think about the improved right click? Scheduled release domains (in which users get features at least a week after they're released publicly) will get the feature beginning February 22.

According to the Gmail team, this feature is initially available to G Suite users but should soon be released for everyone else.
