Florida Man Dances Through Field Sobriety Test, Is Arrested For DUI

A Florida man caught on police dashcam danced his way through a field sobriety test. Needless to say he did not pass

Police say they spotted a truck parked with its brake lights on in front of a closed business.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Ryan Larson, had a blood alcohol content of 0.28, more than three times the legal limit of 0.08, according to NBC 2 News. When ordered out of the auto, he got out - but since it was still in drive it began to roll forward.

Larson was being investigated because a deputy saw a parked vehicle with its engine running and the driver apparently asleep in the driver's seat, the sheriff's office told Tampa Bay area television station WTVT-Fox 13.

A field sobriety test was performed, and Larson appeared disoriented and did not follow proper instructions - even dancing along the line during the exercise, according to deputies. A deputy reportedly had to jump in the auto to stop it from causing damage. That's when the dancing began.

At one point in the tests, Larson was instructed to walk heel-to-toe across a piece of tape stretched out on the ground.

The deputy asks Larson if he is 'complete with the exercise, ' but he just mumbles and continues his shuffle. He said he would not call what he did in the video dancing and he would not comment further on the arrest.

After his arrest, police said Larson admitted to drinking for several hours.

He was eventually arrested and told the deputy that he thought he was in Clearwater, Florida - not Holiday.

It may have looked like a party in the west Florida town of Holiday, but it was actually a roadside sobriety test.
