Gwyneth Paltrow spent honeymoon with Chris

Gwyneth Paltrow enjoyed a 'big family honeymoon' with new husband Brad Falchuck and ex-husband Chris Martin

Gwyneth Paltrow shared during an appearance on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" on Wednesday that her ex-husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, came along on her recent honeymoon with new husband Brad Falchuk.

"We just took our honeymoon in the Maldives", she said on U.S. morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan on Wednesday.

Gwyneth Paltrow's teenage daughter finds it "mortifying" when she is "silly" in public.

She didn't, however, mention if Martin's new girlfriend Dakota Johnson tagged along.

When Kelly found out that Chris was on the trip, she quipped, "There'd be so much crime scene tape at our honeymoon".

Paltrow insisted the banter flowed at the table, "Oh, just great conversation and lots of kids and you know what it was great, we had such a good time".

The star said she and Chris take their co-parenting seriously and want to make sure their kids always feel secure in the family environment.

"We just wanted to minimise the pain for the kids", she adds.

Paltrow and Martin, who separated in 2014 after 10 years of marriage, have become poster people for the modern divorce and she explains they have been able to maintain an amicable partnership because they keep the focus on their two children, Apple and Moses.

A source said, "They're a total modern family and had a great time celebrating together".

On a recent episode of the Goop podcast, Paltrow chatted about her cookbooks with Goop's food editors.

Television writer Brad, 47, has teenagers Brody and Isabella with ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik - but she admitted she is still getting to grips with being a blended family. "You should write a book on how to do it so that there's not, so the kids aren't affected", Ripa said.
