Epic Games Offering Gift to 14 Days of Fortnite Challenge Particpants

14 Days of Fortnite Challenge

I'm sure you want to know about it. As it turns out, the event ended on Tuesday, January 1 and the challenges disappeared. But, as pointed out on Reddit, Epic Games had posted the following on social media: "Once all 14 days' worth of challenges have been unlocked, there will still be a few days to complete them before they go away (IIRC they expire on either the 3 or 4 of January)".

Epic Games has apologized over some misinformation regarding the end of its "14 Days of Fortnite" challenge. However, players were not able to get all of the freebies because of the developer's mistake.

Epic first chose to reward players with the glider if they completed one "14 Days of Fortnite" challenge, however, they decided it wasn't enough. Epic revealed this planned gift this afternoon, but it didn't provide an exact availability time, saying only that the glider will be arriving in eligible players' accounts "in the near future".

We communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event and didn't feel the Equalizer Glider compensation was the right approach. We were also awarded a pickaxe, but the rest of the rewards were mostly festive emotes that were less than spectacular.

Players who were unable to complete those Challenges will be able to earn all of the rewards they may have initially missed out on. All Challenges will be available to complete for the entire duration of the event. Everyone with at least one 14 Days Event Challenge will receive the fresh and new Equalizer Glider. The battle-royale game allows players on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices to hop on limited-time modes, and purchase seasonal outfits or earn daily rewards. You can get a look at it in action here.
