It's official: Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh have been tapped to host the 2019 Golden Globes!

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards telecast averaged a 5.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 19 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research, putting it ahead of every show on television from the previous 10 months in total viewers, since the prior year's Academy Awards.

NBC confirmed Oh and Samberg would be hosting this year's awards earlier this morning via a statement credited to Paul Telegdy and George Cheeks, co-chairmen of NBC Entertainment, who extolled the virtues of their new hosts.

He added: 'They bring wit, charm and style to a room filled with the very best of film and television. Last year's host was comedian and late-night star Seth Meyers. Last year, freshmen series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Handmaid's Tale and Big Little Lies took home the honors of Best Comedy Series, Best Drama Series and Best Miniseries, respectively.
