Pregnant Meghan Markle makes unannounced appearance at college in London

Michelle Obama in conversation with writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie at the Royal Festival Hall

Details of the outfit worn by the Duchess of Sussex yesterday have emerged - some 24 hours after the surprise solo engagement.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (aka Meghan Markle) is joining the conversation to discuss important issues.

At an event in Leicester last week, she revealed: "They're getting excited for Christmas time because they've started all their Christmas songs and the Christmas trees are going up".

Meghan first wore the Mackage coat in Nottingham.

On Christmas Eve, the royals are expected to do a walkabout in Sandringham, as the event is a royal tradition and will this year offer fans another glimpse at Markle's growing bump.

Discussions focused on the role of universities in addressing human trafficking and modern slavery, gender equality and inclusion, peace and reconciliation, and climate change and resilience.

After the talk, Meghan was taken backstage to meet privately with Michelle where the pair had a private chat together for fifteen minutes.

You might remember that a year ago the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on stage for the Royal Foundation Forum.

Laura added a picture of Meghan at the head of the table.

The ACU said the event was an opportunity to explore how higher education can help build a better world.

Her reading was about the importance of "letting our own light shine" containing the lines: "There's nothing enlightened about shrinking / So that other people won't feel insecure around you".

In that speech, the Northwestern University alum announced two new grants for women for the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University, perhaps a sign of the collaboration to come. The pair continued to chat about their charitable endeavours with a focus on educational programmes for women in less economically developed countries.
