
The O2 team has said that it is working fast to address the technical issues and have described it as a "high priority".
Companies that share its network - such as GiffGaff, Sky Mobile and Tesco Mobile - are also being hit by the problems. It also said that the issue could be causing "intermittent problems" when customers make voice calls too.
In a tweet, the network said that the issue lay with one of its third-party suppliers, and recommended that users switch to Wi-Fi wherever possible. Our technical teams are investigating.

Affected phones, which may be every single O2 device, simply fail to show any kind of data connection and will not connect even when turned off and back on or when other workarounds are tried, according to users experiencing the problems. The company estimated 32.1 million people use its mobile network in the UK.

The company, the second-largest mobile network in the United Kingdom, said it was investigating the technical fault.
O2 customers across Wrexham have been affected by a service outage this morning - however signal and 4G services for some have returned to normal.
The service was still down for many users at the time of writing and O2 said that it was working to fix the issue "as quickly as possible".
Transport for London's live bus timetables rely upon the O2 network.
