Jon Rahm wins Tiger's event after getting putting advice from Tiger

He made birdie on four of them on Saturday, leading him to a five-under 67 that gave him a share of the lead with Henrik Stenson and Jon Rahm and set up a wide-open conclusion that could feature more than half the 18-man field.

While Tiger Woods flopped again, Jon Rahm soared to victory at the Hero World Challenge on Sunday. Rahm birdied 14 to turn a two-stroke lead heading into the hole into a five-stroke margin.

"It's definitely not alarming, for sure", said Woods, in his first 72-hole event since winning the Tour Championship. Rose needed to be in at least a three-way tie for second.

While Rahm may have run away with the victory late, there was still some drama related to the race for the World No. 1 ranking, which remains very closely contested between Brooks Koepka and Justin Rose.

Rahm had 25 and Cantlay 22 for a total of 47, which raised $23,500 for California Strong, which is helping families affected by the California wildfires.

"[Woods] was like, 'That's a pretty good performance for somebody who can't putt on Bermuda greens, '" said Rahm.

"I've hit some brilliant shots but I wouldn't say I'm firing 100 percent", he said.

"I've done that so far and I intend to do the same tomorrow to see if we can be there at the end when it matters". She had no idea about golf and I would make her watch all the highlights of Tiger.

It was both fun and learning for him.

Johnson had a pair of sloppy bogeys early on the nine - one didn't bother him too much when 3-year-old son Tatum came out to greet him - and recovered nicely on the back nine with four straight birdies to get in the mix. "I love the game and it's great to watch all those things".

As a Spaniard, he wears his heart on his sleeve. While it was a somewhat poor end to the year - finishing second to last at one under par, 19 strokes behind victor Jon Rahm - 2018 was far from a failure for Woods.

Recalling the whole incident and the match, Rahm said, "Then on the last putt right before I hit it, somebody in Spanish yelled, "Do it for Seve", at the top of his lungs". I didn't play quite as good as past year, but I was still really good. "We just keep on going, try to make as many birdies as we can".

"I somehow turned it around and got rolling a little bit to get to even par for the day somehow".
