Freshly leaked Nokia 9 PureView press render affirms in-display fingerprint sensor

The leak also goes out to state that the new handset will sport a 2K display and have a completely edge-to-edge display with no notch and a hole for the front camera

The smartphone is expected to come with PureView branding and hence reports suggest that HMD could call it Nokia 9 PureView than just Nokia 9. Since several devices launched by HMD Global also sport glass backs such as the Nokia 8.1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus, it is hard to conclude if the upcoming flagship will get wireless charging.

The Nokia 9 is one of the most rumoured phones from HMD. The rear gets a total of five cameras that form a hexagon formation and it uses ZEISS optics. There is no word if the 3.5mm audio jack will be retained but as we are still in the transitionary period, it would be a good idea to keep it. Pricing of the smartphone has yet to be revealed but if you add that premium glass back and front, the Penta-less camera and high-end specifications, we could easily be looking at something between $800-$900. Since we are entering the new year, the Nokia 9 PureView's hardware is already looking dated with its Snapdragon 845 unit.

The Nokia 9 PureView will not be a notched display like some of the recently launched Nokia phones like Nokia 8.1, Nokia 7.1 and the rest. In the leaked picture, the Nokia phone appears in blue, we expect there could be other colours variants too.

Apart from the unique camera experience, the Nokia 9 will have latest internals available in the market right now. If the promo video is true, then the Nokia 9 PureView pretty much keeps in line with everything we have heard so far.

The Nokia 9 PureView is equipped with a 5.99-inch PureDisplay with support for HDR10. The Nokia 9 is said to feature full-screen Full HD+ or Quad HD+ panel with slimmer bezels. The camera specs are yet to be revealed by the company yet.
