Beast machine: OnePlus & McLaren to unveil special edition 6T

OnePlus to announce special edition Mc Laren 6T

As a result of this new partnership, fans around the world will witness the launch of a special OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition smartphone as early as next month. The news follows a teaser from OnePlus, which suggested the company would launch another new handset on December 11.

While limited edition OnePlus smartphones with eye-catching and sometimes unusual paint jobs are obviously nothing new, the company is only now gearing up for its first marketing partnership with a premium automaker.

OnePlus 6T [Review] McLaren Edition has already become the talk of the tinsel town, but the company has refused to spill any beans on the upcoming handset.

It seems that the new model will be the first smartphone of the Chinese manufacturer equipped with nothing less than 10GB of RAM, which is an important leap from the 6GB of the conventional model and the 8GB of the superior model. Essentially, we're looking at a more capable OnePlus 6T, but only slightly so.

If rumours are to believed, the OnePlus 6T will come armed with 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage which will make it a speed monster.

Moving on to the other specifications of the OnPlus 6T McLaren edition, the design is going to be changed with some special touches to bring out the McLaren feels. Instead of 8GB, the Mclaren phone will rock 10GB of RAM, MySmartPrice has learned. That phone, the 8GB/256GB OnePlus 6T, costs $629, which means the McLaren should be even more expensive. In practice, the extra 2GB of RAM probably won't make the 6T significantly faster than it already is, as it's already one of the fastest smartphones on the market.

OnePlus and McLaren will announce the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition December 11 in the United Kingdom. We'll know what's true and what isn't soon enough, so check back here on December 11 for all you need to know about OnePlus and McLaren's reveal event.
